Mission of the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board

The core objective of the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Board is to develop highly skilled technicians to service the highway engineering and construction industries. This initiative has been established in a cooperative effort between state government, private industry and academia. The partnership provides the highway technician a career path with professional development opportunities and a formal education that is measured and evaluated through the certification process.
